Botox
Treatment of the frown lines (glabella) with 24 units of Botox.
Before: marked vertical scowl/frown lines between the eyes.
After: complete relaxation of the frown muscles and elimination of the vertical wrinkles between the eyes.
Botox
Men typically require more Botox than women given the higher muscle mass.
Treatment of frown lines (glabella) with 30 units of Botox in a gentleman.
Before: prominent scowl/frown lines between the eyes.
After: note the dramatic reduction in muscle movement and vertical lines. He still has a prominent vertical crease and it will take multiple sessions over a period of 12 months for complete relaxation of that crease.
Dysport
Treatment of forehead horizontal lines with 30 units of Dysport.
(1 unit of Botox = 2.5 units of Dysport)
Before: prominent horizontal forehead lines.
After: softening of the horizontal lines. She still able to elevate her eyebrows, albeit attenuated.
Botox
Treatment of forehead horizontal lines with 16 units of Botox. This patient required more units of Botox as she has a taller/broader forehead than the average woman.
This is a perfect example of how each patient’s Botox treatment needs to be individualized.
Before: prominent horizontal forehead lines.
After: softening of the horizontal lines. Note that she still able to elevate her eyebrows, albeit attenuated.

Injection of Volbella 0.5 mL into the upper and lower lips.
Before: her lips are natural appearing, but the upper lip has lost some volume.
After: improved proportions and prominent definition of the”white roll” and “cupids bow” giving the desired “pouty” look.

Injection of Revanesse Versa 0.8 mL into the upper and lower lips.
Before: The lips are deflated with severe volume loss.
Immediately After Treatment: Improved reflation of the lips. much better definition of the “cupids bow” and vermillion border.

Before: the upper lip had little show.
After: much better definition of the “cupids bow” and “philthrum columns.”

Injection of the lips with Restylane Refyne 1mL, and Restylane Defyne 1mL into the marionette lines (below the corners of the mouth) and mental crease.
Before: thin deflated lips with prominent marionette creases.
After: restoration of normal lip volume and symmetry. Note the corners of the mouth are horizontal with dramatic softening of the lines below the corners of the mouth.

Injection of Beletero balance 1 mL into the lips. Beletero is a fine HA filler producing natural results and is a great option for treatment of fine lines.
Before: deflated lips with asymmetry (her left upper lip is larger than the right).
After: improved definition and volume with correction of asymmetry.

Injection of Restylane Lyft into the marionette lines (below the corners of the mouth).
Before: prominent creases are noted below the corners of the mouth. Note the corners of the mouth turn down leading to a sad appearance.
After: the corners of the mouth are now horizontal producing a pleased appearance and there is dramatic reduction in the marionette lines.
Acne Scarring
Treatment of acne scars with three sessions of TCA cross peel.
Before: note the deep “ice pick” and “boxcar scars” that were produced from scarring acne years ago.
After: dramatic reduction in scarring . (Most people see between 50 -75% improvement with repeated sessions of TCA cross peel for this type of scarring.) This patient’s self-esteem improved greatly.

Before: papules pustules and cysts of moderate severity.
After: This teenage patient failed traditional acne therapy. Her acne completely cleared with 6 months of Accutane. The results are phenomenal with no recurrence of acne one year later.
